Street Sign

Our other big project this week was finalizing our logo so we can order our signs and all the other things a logo goes on. Until it goes to the printer, I don’t think we’ll stop fiddling with the logo, but as it stands now, this is our proposed street sign:

Green Bean Sign

We stared with the basic premise of the tree way back when we first started dreaming about the café last winter. After going through dozens of revisions, scraping the tree entirely, and trying many other things, we kept coming back to the simple tree that was our first idea.

I didn’t save a lot of my older attempts and  but here are some of the different things I’ve tried:

As you can see, things kept getting more and more intricate, but in the end, we decided to that we still like simple, clean lines. The simpler logo also has the benefit of being easier to reproduce on a variety of different materials.

The plan is to send this off to be printed early next week, so if anyone has a great suggestion for design changes or if you know a great printer in the Windsor area, be sure to let us know.

really good work. I also really like the top left option with the black tree and white cloud over a green background. That’s a keeper for the future if you make t-shirts or if you start selling your own grinds of coffee or something.

Thanks. If I’m not careful I can get completely paralysed by all the options so suggesting the very first thing we tried way back in January is some helpful feedback.

I agree. I like the original one, especially for a t-shirt. I’m so glad you guys are doing this!

Love that first one as well. The clean crisp lines are the best and I think it would translate beautifully to both colour as it is – and black and white if you ever go that route.

In terms of printeres I’d suggest Wheelers. Cary is a great guy who does fabulous work.
