We stared with the basic premise of the tree way back when we first started dreaming about the café last winter. After going through dozens of revisions, scraping the tree entirely, and trying many other things, we kept coming back to the simple tree that was our first idea.

I didn’t save a lot of my older attempts and  but here are some of the different things I’ve tried:

As you can see, things kept getting more and more intricate, but in the end, we decided to that we still like simple, clean lines. The simpler logo also has the benefit of being easier to reproduce on a variety of different materials.

The plan is to send this off to be printed early next week, so if anyone has a great suggestion for design changes or if you know a great printer in the Windsor area, be sure to let us know.

We’ve been working on a Green Bean logo for quite some time now and I think we’ve narrowed it down to this basic design and colour scheme. We don’t want to commit too tightly to anything and instead we intend to allow our brand identity to evolve slowly over time. For now, we’ve whipped together a batch of variations on our basic design. Certainly, some of these colour combinations are better then others, but as a whole, I think they look pretty cool together.
