Summer Hours

Effective May 31st, our summer hours are:

Monday – Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Thursday: 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Saturday – Sunday: Closed

Speaking of summer, if you haven’t tried our new brewed ice tea, you are missing out. My personal favourite is our Chamomile Mango Ice Tea, but we also have great Black and Green Iced Teas as well. See you at the café!

Open Mic Tonight!

Every Thursday night at 9:00PM, the Green Bean Café hosts Open Mic night.

Open Mic Night is an all ages event and we have all kinds of people perform. There are musicians and poets, seasoned performers and people who set foot on a stage for the first time.

Some nights we have a pretty long list of people who would like to perform, so be sure to get here early if you want to guarantee yourself a chance to perform.  Depending on the turnout, we may not be able to accommodate everyone, so show up early.

Interested in spreading the word or trying to figure out a slick way to invite your friends to see you perform? Come by the café and we can get you a copy of our poster that you can put up in your dorm, facility building or use a few stitched together to form a trendy and biodegradable jacket.

Spring Hours

In light of spring and the end of the semester at the University, we’ve made some small changes to our hours. Effective today (April 26) they are:

Monday – Wednesday: 9:00AM – 10:00PM
Thursday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Saturday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Speaking of spring, don’t forgot that in addition to our regular hot drinks, we have ice cold Italian Sodas, Iced Lattes and starting this week, our very own Chamomile Mango and Green Iced Teas.

We’ve been hard at work getting all the details together and it’s with great pleasure that we are introducing our brand new Customer Loyalty Program and accompanying Customer Loyalty card.

What are the benefits of joining our Customer Loyalty Program?

• You receive points for every purchase made which can be redeemed for discounts on anything in the café.
• Your receive a sweet discount on your birthday.
• You are added to our new email list which will offer exclusive coupons on savings for members of our Customer Loyalty program.
• Plus, the Green Bean Card can also be loaded with a balance. This is a great way to help students stay within their budgets or to give the sweet gift of the Green Bean to a friend.

How do I join?

• It’s easy. Talk to one of our Barista’s today and they will get you signed up. It will only take a minute. All we need is a name, email address, birthday (if you want a birthday treat) and a phone number to help us know you are you and you’ll be all set.

Anything else I need to know?

• By joining the Green Bean Customer Loyalty program you give us permission to contact you on a very occasional basis by email. Your information is stored securely with us and we would never sell it, lend it or give it out to anyone. There is no private information of any kind stored on your Customer Loyalty Card – just a random number that our system can match to your account.
• If you lose your Customer Loyalty Card, let us know and we can deactivate your lost card and get you setup with a new one.
• The cards can also be used as traditional anonymous gift cards. Load up a card with a balance and give the gift of the Green Bean!

Travis Reitsma CD Release Show – Feb 19

On Friday, February 19, the Green Bean Café is pleased to welcome Travis Reitsma and Johnny West for Travis’s CD Release Show. Travis has been working on “outside the factory gates” for a long time now and we’re excited that he has chosen our venue to release his CD.
